19th CENTURY CONTINENTAL TRIPOD STAND
This attractive little Continental piece is a tripod stand beautifully veneered in a radial pattern on the oval top. The hexagon shaped pedestal has a herringbone pattern and the legs are burled wood. Top is framed by brass and ormolu accents the piece throughout. A few tiny pieces of veneer are missing in places on the pedestal where it's not noticeable. The top is in very good condition with a lovely French polish. It has a beautiful old mellow look. DIMINUTIVE CONTINENTAL PRIMITIVE PAINTED BLANKET CHEST C. 1800'S
Which European country is still a mystery since I've been told possibly Austria or Belgium. It's a pine piece with pegged construction. Strap hinges and a dity box in a clean interior. Stylized country buildings painted on the front panels with diagonal striped border of medium blue, red and green. Plain sides, paneled top and a cut out on the base.
Condition:  Paint loss on the top and front base. Slight warp on sides 
                where the front boards are pegged to the side boards.
