4 FEDERAL TIGER MAPLE TURTLE-BACK CHAIRS C. EARLY 1800'S
Set of four Sheraton style, tiger maple chairs. They have what is called a turtle-back with a pillow-top. All four have their original rush seats. The varnish has darkened with age and is very crackled and on close inspection, you can see one leg has an old repair which is hardly noticeable. This leg and the rest of the chair is completely sturdy, as are the other three chairs.

ANTIQUE FEDERAL TIGER MAPLE BREAKFAST TABLE
I believe this to be a New Hampshire Federal Breakfast Table made from a medium tone tiger maple wood, c. early 1800's. Simply turned heavy center column with plain ogee curve legs. A drawer is located on either end, wooden hinged supports for the drop leaves, and a decorative touch of a ball placed under each corner. The table is in very good condition except for a very slight warp to one drop leaf. The pulls reflect the period, but are replacements. The original surface was striped at some point in time and now has a soft mellow patina. This piece is a lovely example of a center column breakfast table: simple lines letting the nicely figured curly maple be the focal point. Condition: age split on the top and the column (pictured).   Size: top: 17"W 38"L x 29"H, drop leaf: 11"W x 38"L

EARLY TALL SHABBY FEDERAL MIRROR
This must have been a stunning mirror in its day perched above a decorative pier table and now it's just striped down to the bare wood rustic look. The veneer and gold gilt long gone: "Cinderella" is no longer at the ball, but what a great full length mirror, if you have the right look and spot for it. The corners are mortised, the mirror may be original as it's evenly distressed from age and the frame is shabby chic, but great, if you like the "genteel poverty" look.  Size: 63"H x 35"w

PAIR OF FEDERAL FANCY PAINTED OCHRE CHAIRS C. 1815
Even though the paint has chipped or worn off these Federal chairs, they still have a wonderful appeal and I would classify them as having a look of genteel poverty rather than shabby chic. The wear is similar on each one. They have an ochre background with black and raw sienna detailing. The main characteristic of these chairs is the small raw sienna balls between the slender cross rails of the back and between the front stretcher. They're both glued tightly.  Size: 32"h x 17"w, seat height 17"
