Hooked rug with center of multiple flowers in pink, red, blue,
lavender and yellow. Leaf border with red, pink, and blue roses and variegated leaves. Ground is a variegated gray. Bound border. The rug is applied to a wide wooden frame covered with black fabric. Wired to hang either vertically or horizontally.

| EARLY JAPANESE KABUKI MASKS |
I've tried to find more information about these Japanese masks without much success. I would love input anyone can provide. The larger one, I believe, is a Samari Okame woman, a Japanese Noh kagura Kabuki Mask. I personally love the old surface with just bits of paint, gesso and wood showing. The surface is hand carved; has many straight lines representing the hair. Markings on the back which I've pictured. The smaller mask is probably a Noh Demon Mask minus the frightening paint and, once again, just remnants of gesso and paint with wood showing through.
Condition: Except for the surface, very good condition

| LONG WEATHERED FOLK ART SLED 19th c. |
Someone ages ago put a lot of design sense into building this unique sled; great cutout form on the attached outer edges with graceful curves on the top and bottom of the flat surface. Slight hint of faded green paint on the weathered wood. Quite long and heavy. Constructed with pegs, screws and nails, all original. Hand wrought iron runners.

| PAINTED WOODEN AXE TRADE SIGN |
This remnant from a trade sign makes an interesting bit of folk art. It may represent the sale of axes or even sharpening of the blades. Looks to be from the 1900's. It's painted apple green with a red accent and gray for the blade. The handle is doweled into the blade section and is loose so a nail was used to hold it in place. An old repair.
Condition: Green paint on handle is evenly flaked off

Nicely turned pair of 1 lb. Indian Clubs with remnants of red paint. These were considered ladies clubs because of the light weight. Two turned black bands around the body and rings around the neck.
