1800'S PRIMITIVE SAIL BOAT MODEL
As boat models go, this one has a wonderfully naive primitive look to it. Purchased at auction from a Southern folk art colltction. Single masted, full sail, hand made in the 1800's. The paint has the old alligator look. Sails have been replaced with new ones that are hand stitched, tea stained to look authentically old and stitched with rows across the sails every inch which will show in the picture as stripes. The lines are all in tact and cleated. This is a mellow old, lovingly hand made model; not sleek and shiny, just charming. Displays well on its own stand. Size:40.5"H x 44"W x 8"D

ANTIQUE DIMINUITIVE FRENCH CANADIAN ARMOIRE C. EARLY 1800'S
This fabulous little armoire has the traditional form of the period. Its uniqueness is the size: petite with classic raised panels, molding on the bottom over block feet. There's no central panel on the front separating the doors so it could easily be used as an entertainment center. This is a wonderfully pure piece of Quebec history for those who truly appreciate the French Canadian workmanship. I can't rave about it enough! Great waxed dark green paint worn to perfection. Two shelves in a nice clean interior. The oxidation of the wood on the inside is all similar in color. There are forged nails in the top. The construction of the piece is mortised and pegged. Also, the hinges were replaced since there are marks on the inside of the doors from the pins of old snipe hinges. There's an old repair to the top molding on the left side. Condition: it's hard to see, but the molding is split diagonally and replaced from that spot to the left corner and then continuing along the left side. Size: 42"w 20.5"d x 49"h

ANTIQUE ENGLISH BLUE AND WHITE MOLDED JUG WITH LID C. 1800'S
I have been told and also read that these jugs were used for steeping toast in hot water, much like brewing tea. The jug is similar in looks to Wedgwood and it has their blue coloring, but is unmarked on the bottom. Probably, it's from one of the Staffordshire manufacturers as several used the same blanks. The pattern on the body, on one side, depicts three cherubs, two riding on a wagon being pulled by two dogs ridden by the third cherub. Under the spout, you'll find Venus standing on her half shell with yet another little cherub to keep her company and the other side shows three little sweeties with bows and arrows. The jug and lid are trimmed with grape vines. Wonderful detail on the handle, spout and lower body. Condition: excellent Size: 8 1/2"h x 9 1/2" w
