The oval form and striking Regency decoration of cobalt blue and gold gilt makes this teapot an outstanding example of early English china c.1805. The shape was used by many manufacturers of the period, but I believe this to be by Coalport. Pattern consists of a cobalt band with a gold vine and leaves. Gold gilt lining and accents throughout. Condition: gilt loss in places on the body. Size: 10"l x 6'h x 4.5"w
