This early 1800's brass fireplace fender with an unusual trivet top definitely adds decorative appeal; classical simplicity. The body is solid brass reinforced in the back with iron brackets. Quite heavy and substantially made. Nice molded detail on the top and the bottom of the solid area and the cut out top is one of the nicest I've seen; the finishing touch for your hearth.
